In the early part of 2005, Peshkar toured a production entitled ‘In God We Trust’ by Avaes Mohammad which looked at issues regarding Islam and inmates at Guantanamo Bay. This video shares reflections from some of the creatives involved in the play…
‘Write House’ was a project designed to engage writers from a range of backgrounds and disciplines to create work that would inspire theatrical experiences from young people of disadvantaged backgrounds.
Each of the writers were selected as a result of their newness to the format and all created work in progress that was workshopped and then showcased at the Oldham Coliseum Studio in July 2009. Check out the interviews with the writers here…
‘Siege’ was written by Tajinder Singh Hayer and featured a cast of young people from Oldham, Manchester and Cheshire. The production toured to Crewe Lyceum, Blue Box Theatre Chorlton and the Grange Arts Centre in Oldham.

A play about one young man’s struggle to become an artist against a background of gang crime, ‘Northern Dust’ was a Young Peshkar production performed and written by participant Faz Shah and featured a young cast from the Oldham area.
