Under25Routes – Liverpool Part 2

A Day in the Life (well two days) of Under25Routes UK Residency

After the excitement of the Lovely Rita Riot we brought our artists together at Liverpool Hope University for two days of workshops with Sudip Chakroborthy.

Our Under25Routes artists worked reacquainting themselves with each other and Sudip helped them focus on working together in groups, looking for personal stories, meaning and expression within their own space and the space around them.

The laboratory workshops, which take place during the first weeks of the Under25Routes residencies, allow the artists to explore their own personal artistic excellence but also it gives them a chance to learn more about their fellow artists. Elements of practice discovered might end up feeding into their final performance, which will take place at Islington Mill in the middle of July.

We finished the weekend in Liverpool by taking the artists to Camp and Furnace and treated them to a traditional Sunday Roast. They absolutely loved our good old british roasties and gravy.

Here’s a few images and video footage of the Under25Routes artists exploring the world around them at Liverpool Hope University and their own artistic worlds. Liverpool Hope University was a perfect setting for this to take place.
