This term, our four intrepid Under 25 artists have been deployed to Waterhead Academy, one of our partner schools in Oldham to run a project connected to the school’s ‘Careers Pathway’ programme.

This project will see them running workshops in their own artforms with Year 7 and 8 Students with the aim of creating an interdisciplinary piece of art at the end of the process. Each student taking part will also achieve a Bronze Arts Award.

We will be asking the team to blog about their experiences so here is the first from Fay: Pathways Waterhead Blog

Also read up on the After the Rain work that has been taking place at Waterhead Academy

Originally formed in 1991 as a community theatre project for Oldham’s Asian community, Peshkar has evolved into the UK’s leading participatory arts organisation targeting young people who are deemed hard to reach or socially disadvantaged.
